Every print, frame and canvas is made to order for you, so please read this before you buy. If anything arrives damaged or faulty, we will always put it right.

Made to order

Prints, framed prints and canvases are printed, finished and checked by hand for each order, to the size, format and frame you choose. Because they are made to your specification, they cannot be cancelled or returned simply because you have changed your mind, once production has started. This is the exception for personalised and made-to-order goods in the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Changing your mind before production

If you change your mind, email info@sussexphotos.co.uk with your order number as soon as possible. If we have not yet started printing your order, we will cancel it and refund you in full. Orders usually go into production within one working day.

Damaged or faulty items

If anything arrives damaged, has a printing fault, or is not what you ordered, please email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the problem. We will make and send a replacement free of charge, or refund you in full if you prefer. There is no need to return a damaged item unless we ask you to. This does not affect your legal rights.

Colour and screens

Every screen shows colour a little differently, so a print may look slightly different from the photo on your device. Small differences like this are not a fault. If you are unsure about a photograph, ask us before ordering and we are happy to help.

Digital downloads

Because a download is delivered straight away, you lose the right to cancel once the download has started. You agree to this when you buy. If the file is faulty or will not open, tell us and we will fix it or refund you.

Gift vouchers

You can cancel an unused gift voucher within 14 days of buying it for a full refund. Once a voucher has been used, it cannot be refunded.

Refunds

Where a refund is due, we make it to the card you paid with within 14 days.

Commercial work

Commissions, venue artwork and commercial licences are covered by the agreement we make with you for that work.

The terms that apply when you buy a print, frame, canvas, digital download or gift voucher from Sussex Photos.

Who we are

Sussex Photos is the photography of Scott Wright, based in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex. You can contact us at info@sussexphotos.co.uk.

Ordering

When you place an order you will receive an email confirming what you ordered and the amount paid. Your contract with us starts when that confirmation is sent. If we cannot fulfil part of an order, for example because a size is no longer available, we will tell you and refund that part in full.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Delivery charges are shown in your basket before you pay. Payments are taken securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

Printing and colour

Every print is made to order and checked by hand before it is sent. Screens vary, so the colours of your print may differ slightly from how they look on your device. Small differences like this are not a fault.

Delivery

We currently deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom. Prints are usually dispatched within 1 to 2 working days, canvases within 3 working days and framed prints within 7 working days. These are estimates rather than guarantees, and we will let you know if an order is delayed.

Returns and damage

Prints, frames and canvases are made to order for you, so they cannot be returned because you have changed your mind once production has started. Anything damaged or faulty will be replaced or refunded. Please see our returns policy for the details.

Copyright and use of the photographs

All photographs on this site are © Scott Wright. Buying a print, frame or canvas lets you display it; it does not transfer copyright or allow the image to be copied. Digital downloads come with the licence you choose at checkout (personal, web & social, or commercial & editorial), and the image may only be used within the terms of that licence. For anything beyond that, please ask about a commercial licence.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, can be spent on any photograph, size or format, and can be used across more than one order. They cannot be exchanged for cash.

Our responsibility to you

If we fail to meet these terms we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer or our liability where it cannot be limited by law.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

What we collect when you use this site, why, and who helps us handle it.

Who is responsible

Sussex Photos (Scott Wright, Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex) is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact info@sussexphotos.co.uk with any questions.

What we collect

When you buy something we collect your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, and the details of your order. If you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address and message. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never receive your card number.

Why we use it

We use your details to take payment, make and deliver your order, send you emails about it, answer your questions, and keep the records the law requires. We do not sell your information, and we only send marketing emails if you have asked to receive them.

Who helps us

We use a small number of trusted services to run the shop: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (website hosting and email forwarding), Sanity (our order and content records) and Resend (order emails). Each handles your information only to provide its service to us.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for six years, as required for tax and accounting. Enquiries are kept for as long as is useful to answer them and any follow-up.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need to keep it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies and browser storage

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your basket and a few display preferences, such as your chosen gallery layout, are stored in your own browser so they are still there when you come back; you can clear them at any time in your browser settings. Stripe's checkout page uses its own cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. The video on our About page is played by Vimeo with tracking turned off.
